April 2020: Added another new opening scene to establish conflict and character goal. Story is now told in eight parts. Changed the final chapter title from “Finale” to “The Nice Guy.” ProWritingAid edit. Removed some adverbs, fixed some style issues, and strengthened story context where needed. Added fire to the cover image (maybe temporarily).

February 2021: Created a book cover for “The Hybrid Cut” and made it visible and accessible on my official author website. Can be accessed from the Eleven Miles from Home product page under the “Read for Free” button and read directly on the site.

April 2022: Added a new opening scene to help the reader ease into Sammy’s situation better. Also added a context clue at the end of the story to tie into the unspoken plot better. Updated book’s presentation to the new standard that all of my books will adopt moving forward, including formatting and back matter changes. Extensive author notes, reader group questions, and other bonuses will now be site exclusives, accessible from the book’s product page.

April 2021: Finalized revisions from previous month across all platforms. Fixed additional errors that appeared in paperback version and updated all formats for compatibility. Added a few more lines to key areas to better clarify character growth moments. Fixed all misused hyphens and em dashes with en dashes to represent stuttering characters. Updated paperback to display “code” ornamentals between chapters and subtitles. Fixed other formatting issues. Note: Unless I get feedback about additional problems with logic, technical elements, grammar, or presentation, this should be the last content update until the series reboot. Any additional updates will likely affect metadata only. That said, if any problems still linger, please send me a message denoting the chapter and location of the problem, as well as what the problem is. Thanks.

The 2015 Standalone Edition may receive a few small updates to address any mistakes I’ve overlooked in the latest revision. If you find any mistakes in the text, logical or grammatical, please send me a message via this site’s contact form to let me know. Thanks.
